"Discovery was like playing poker and I could see the Prosecutor's cards."

This was by far the most important legal action I took in winning my New Jersey Speeding Ticket case!

Because of my Discovery Request, the Prosecutor had to give me copies of all the evidence.

I knew there was a good chance that after receiving my Discovery Request, he would offer me a better plea deal. The Prosecutor was very busy at the time and Discovery was a lot more work he had to do before moving on to his bigger cases.

I also knew that the State doesn't always meet the demands of a Discovery Request, and when that happens there is grounds for Dismissal.

After I served the Municipal Prosecutor with my Discovery Request, I felt an immediate change of attitude from the people that worked at the Court. On one hand they were annoyed and a Judge even said, "Oh I guess you want to play lawyer."
On the other hand I noticed a begrudging respect from them.

I showed the State that I knew the rules of the game and unlike other Defendants, I wasn't going down without a fight. That very same Judge ended up complimenting me later saying, "It's nearly impossible to beat a speeding ticket in New Jersey, but somehow you did it. Case dismissed."

It only SEEMS impossible to fight a speeding ticket in NJ because most people don't know how.
